The brand has been committed to improving the lives of its riders by producing enjoyable, high-quality bicycles that offer years of riding pleasure since the first mountain bikes with the Marin Bikes name were introduced in 1986. Our company is built on a foundation of diligence, dedication, and the fulfillment of sharing the love of cycling with riders all over the world.
Marin adds fun to your ride, whether it's riding rough trails to that high alpine lake, pinning on a race number and competing in your first race, riding your commuter bike the long way home, bikepacking to that far-off campsite, or simply exploring the local bike paths. It serves as the foundation for all of our new bike designs, from multi-surface capable pavement bikes to long-distance, trail-devouring vehicles that thrive on some of the world's most difficult racetracks. 1986–1988
Three decades of performance-focused mountain options were made possible by the popularity of Marin's first model, the Madrone Trail.
The well-received 1988 Marin Team Titanium, one of the first titanium mountain bikes produced in the industry, set new standards just two years after the business was founded.

Muirwoods, Bolinas Ridge, Pine Mountain, Indian Fire Trail, Eldridge Grade, and Hidden Canyon are among the famous Marin County sites that Marin started naming models after.
In 1991
Marin has a strong history of innovation and has spearheaded the introduction of new product categories.

1993
a full-suspension design pioneer. The 1993 Titanium FRS weighed under twenty-five pounds and had early Manitou Suspension Components. That year, Jurgen Beneke led the Titanium FRS to a global title.
Time Passes Quickly
in the 1990s and 2000s. By providing cutting-edge, competitive bikes and successful sponsored riders, Marin developed a global fanbase. The Quad-Link design, hydroformed, monocoque, and a growing number of full suspension vehicles were introduced to the market. These MTB models, together with a stronger focus on pavement riding, solidified Marin's position as one of the major influencers in the bicycle industry.
2012–2013
Under new ownership and management, Marin's next chapter begins. Veterans in the industry are committed to revitalizing the legendary brand.
2014
Marin entered the carbon full suspension mountain bike market with the release of the Attack Trail enduro and the Mount Vision trail bikes. Fairfax's brand-new "Speed Commute" models add a fresh look to the hybrid lineup and garner praise from riders and the media.
2015
The IsoTrac-equipped Rift Zone 29er arrives, now with 120/110mm of wheel travel and optional carbon fiber frames.
2016
In honor of Marin's 30th anniversary, the Pine Mountain and Four Corners models have returned to the lineup. The heritage-inspired models include cromoly frames and graphic packages that recall Marin's crucial early years.
"Beyond Road" The Gestalt line launches, giving riders more alternatives in the developing multi-surface/gravel category.
2017
Taking advantage of Marin's world-class supply chain, the all-new Hawk Hill trail bike becomes an industry benchmark, providing riders with exceptional performance that defies the price. The Hawk Hill rapidly becomes Marin's best-selling model, both in terms of sales and monetary volume.
2018
A full suspension renaissance is underway, with the groundbreaking Wolf Ridge leading the way. Developed in collaboration with technology provider Naild, the Wolf Ridge is truly the first all-new suspension design to hit the market in years, earning dozens of glowing reviews as well as some of the cycling industry's highest accolades.
The successful MultiTrac line is being expanded with additional Hawk Hill models and the Rift Zone joining the platform, in addition to the new B-17.
2019
Marin remains one step ahead of industry trends, bringing a great number of new models to market, including the Presidio and ebike families, as well as expanding other popular lines.
2020
The Rift Zone Carbon models join the fray, boosting the MultiTrac line with high-performance frames and new specification options.
The all-new Headlands introduces carbon to the "Beyond Road" part in a true Marin flair, with plenty of utility and fun built in.
2021
The Alpine Trail E models dominate the stoplight, receiving nothing but praise from both media sources and riders. The Alpine Trail Es combine the best features of our longest-travel, aggressive endurance platform to create Marin's most competent eMTB to date.
On the pavement side, the Larkspur revives the traditional "mixte" style bike, combining styling cues from previous mountain cycles with current components to create a one-of-a-kind multi-surface cruiser.
2022
A new year begins with a boom as an update to the rider-favorite Alcatraz is released. The famous dirt jump/slopestyle model, created in collaboration with icon Matt Jones, is now available in two frame sizes and features new, eye-catching graphics.
Additional refinements to other Marin model families include a new top-tier Rift Zone Carbon 29 XR model, electric-assist versions of the Stinson comfort cycles, an expansion of the famous DSX flat-bar gravel portfolio, and more.
2023
We introduced the all-new Rift Zone, our most popular mountain bike, which has been entirely rebuilt with additional travel, progressive geometry, and finer features, demonstrating that updating a beloved classic that riders already know and love can lead to the best adventures.
2024
We celebrated an incredible 2024 with the comeback of the famous Quake DH bike and Martha Gill earning the Queen of Crankworx title, proving that when gravity calls, Marin riders respond - and do so in style!
2025
The Lombard E was introduced as our first electric gravel bike, combining urban hardiness with Bosch SX power. Meanwhile, Janelle Soukup made history as Marin's first rider at Red Bull Rampage, demonstrating our brand's dedication to going beyond the obvious tarmac.
