The “Bear Box” downtube storage has a 34.9mm seat post for added strength and compatibility with the newest dropper posts, along with a zipped nylon bag to hold trail necessities.
“XR” stands for “Xtra Rad” at Marin, and like the XR models that preceded the new Alpine Trail, we designed a model for the more discerning rider. We focused our efforts on creating a bike with high performance RockShox Ultimate-level suspension, an SRAM GX Eagle Lunar 12-speed transmission, and DB8 4-piston brakes – all of which assist the rider level up while remaining within budget. Don’t forget the Maxxis rubber, as well as our own CNC machined 35mm stem and matching Trail Bar.
